Yep, totally agree with you. Now if he'd just stay off the damn bike - ! But in his interviews he's indicated he wants nothing more than to get back on
the road on it.

Found it (521) and I'll have it, 2 hours. Heh. What was that Triangle of Expectations back when? 'You can have good but not cheap or fast. Or you can
have cheap and fast but not good'? Well, expecting haggard went for quick. Won't need to count bristles.
Added: So, watched several times, and yes there's upper-body wasting. such as complete retirement from functional use of those parts, over such a spell, would bring. To say 'haggard' seems to me excessive though (the fact is shrugged shoulders suits no male physique, and where Gale isn't shrugged the impression isn't there, slender-made though he natively is); for even on your stocky males your 'left' side is VISIBLY shrunk compared your 'right' - look for ir sometime. More, 'haggard' would attach to the jailbird pallor, and shadows in the face that in fact aren't new - cast your mind back to the Reikert/Reichert period to see 'worse' - and a 'worse' that truly suited the 'noir' of the arc well, as if Gale had wittingly called on a RESOURCE (wouldn't be hard, a late night + an early start) for the purpose. And I can spin a theory outta that.. For: high point of the ep comes at "So.. Whaddya say??" - delivered with a throwaway sick grin. Or is it throwaway sick? You know, I'd swear Messrs Cherry/Howard - oops, Harold - have been watching forgotten UST-comedies featuring Cary Grant, past master of the untrustable grin, and fed one into bright, ohso trustable Wisteria Lane. A special noirish effect deliberately done, and well brought off. Couldn't quote you the very grin - CG was so versatile with untrustable, wrote the book - but something about the phrase, plus the accent Gale suddenly slips into, is real reminiscent. Gonna keep an eye out for more. Forgot to mention: Gale's wrists seem to be lumpier. I wonder if the accident-event included smashing down onto his palms? Immobilise the hands' gripping, and you lock out all upper body action to move them around and exert strength through them. And bulk wasting follows.
